Heritage Advisory Committee (HAC)

In July 2018 the Board established a Heritage Advisory Committee to advise members of the OMT and others on the impact of any proposed work to the building or its equipment on the heritage that forms part of the Building’s Grade II* listing.

The team consists of at least three and not more than five persons: at least one of whom must be a director and the present team comprises Nigel Evans, Derek Goddard, Tony Simmons and Peter Trowles.

The team may offer advice, decide not to raise an objection or refer any matters of concern to the Board concerning any proposed works or project.

The first meeting of the HAC was in September 2018 when it considered the installation of the Victorian lamp over the Foreman’s Office desk.

Members of the HAC are keen to spread the word to members that we all need to think about the potential impact on the Mill structure and contents whenever any addition or alteration is being considered for this listed building.

Any member can refer any matter to be looked at by the HAC if they see something that concerns them.
