Combe Mill Society takes the health and safety of its volunteers and visitors seriously.
All those who keep the Mill working and open to the public are volunteers who cooperate in an informal atmosphere to that end.
As a charity and limited company the Society is, nevertheless, responsible for the health and safety of these volunteers and visitors.  The health and safety policy of the Society and the supporting procedures can be read/downloaded from this page.

To ensure that the risk of hazard is minimised for all the various tasks we carry out, Risk Assessments have been made and from them Method Statements have been written to provide guidance to our volunteers.  Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is available at the Mill to suit the needs of any task and volunteers are briefed on the risk assessment and the whereabouts of PPE.
